Here are the Adult Sunday School classes for Spring 2007. Classes are held at 11:00 a.m. after English worship, beginning on 1/21.
A Radical Look at Jesus
Taught by Richard Ho and Elaine Chao
This class will aim to ‘get to the heart’ of who Jesus is, what He did, and why He came. We will carefully examine Jesus’ teaching and claims. Also, we will look at his miracles which back his claim to being the Messiah. From this study we will come to know better who He is, and what that implies for his followers today.
Other Worlds at the Movies: An Exploration of World Views
Taught by Pastor Ken and Mark Harrison
Movies both reflect and shape our culture. In this course we will use movies as a tool to understand the common world views held by those around us, and both compare and contrast those views with the view of life and reality that we find in Scripture. We will seek to gain a clear understanding of the Christian world view and learn how to bridge the gap to engage from “other worlds” in redemptive conversation.
The Deeper Walk: A Spiritual Disciplines Practicum
Taught by Joy Wong, Kathryn Fang, and Joni Carlson
Do you long for a deeper walk with God and a deeper fellowship with His Body? This class is a community-based exploration of the spiritual disciplines of meditation, confession, prayer, and worship. Through practical teaching, testimonies, small groups, and practice, we will grow in these disciplines together. Whether you have been a Christian for a short time or a long time, come to learn more from each other and to share your experiences as we seek to walk more deeply with God!
